RAKKOJAE, SEOUL

Rakkojae is a restored hanok in Seoul’s Bukchon, over a hundred years old, where every beam and paper wall slows you down. I stayed a night and joined a tea ceremony with live gayageum, then made a film and photographs of both. As a former interior designer, I shot it around the way light moves through paper and wood.
